Travel Videos For You Blog 2
You will not fully appreciate our Travel Videos by playing them on a smartphone or tablet. They are best seen on a large screen TV as they are produced in full High Definition.
How can I do that you may ask ?
Well, there are several methods of achieving this. Perhaps the simplest way is to copy the video files on to a memory stick. Most modem TV's have one or more USB sockets into which you can put a memory stick. Then using your remote you can select to play media including videos from the stick. Sometimes the remote button is called AV.
Another method available on smart TV's is called mirroring, again accessible via a menu selection on your remote. This connects your tablet or smartphone to the TV via wi-fi, and replicates what is on the screen on the device to the TV screen. You will have to set up your device to connect to the TV via the settings menu.
Finally, a more advanced method of viewing our travel videos on your TV is by streaming them from your PC, laptop or other computer. Top Tv brands like Sony, Panasonic, Samsung and LG support a technology called "Digital Living Network Alliance" (DLNA). On a Windows computer Windows Media Player acts as a media server which can send video, photos or music to a smart on request via your home network. This is more complicated to set-up but provides a more permanent solution for displaying media on your big screen.
We can provide more information on this if you contact us by e-mail. So why not get started right now ? Hilary & Mike 25 April 2020
